Our Story

Three decades of little footsteps.

A warm, ongoing story shaped by generations of Cayman families, educators and supporters.

For 30 years, The Achievement Centre Preparatory School has been a place where children are known, valued and encouraged to discover their potential.

Our story began with a simple belief: every child deserves a safe, joyful place to learn, grow and dream.

A Timeline of Care

Moments across the years

Thirty years of little footsteps, told through the moments that shaped our Centre.

  1. 1996 — The beginning

    A whisper became a dream

Inspired by the vision of founder Mr. Kent M. Rankin, The Achievement Centre Preparatory School opened its doors on Crew Road, Grand Cayman, on 2 September 1996. Seven dedicated staff welcomed 28 children and their families on the first day.

  2. 1996 onwards — Learning beyond the classroom

    Little adventures, big discoveries

From storytelling, music and creative play to nature, community outings and farm experiences, children have always been encouraged to learn through curiosity, exploration and joyful discovery.

  3. 2003 — A new home

    Growing with Cayman families

In 2003, the school relocated to 295 Shamrock Road, Red Bay. The new home created more room for learning and play while preserving the warm, close-knit spirit at the heart of the Centre.

  4. 2025 — A proud milestone

    Recognised as a Good school

The Office of Education's March 2025 inspection recognised The Achievement Centre as a Good school, affirming the caring environment, dedicated staff and positive learning experience provided to children.

  5. Today — 30 years strong

    A legacy that continues

The Centre continues to nurture children in a Christ-centred environment, helping each child grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Every new child becomes part of a legacy built one little step at a time.

Our Purpose

“To develop the whole child intellectually, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually in a Christ-centred environment.”
